Our Tai Chi Events
The Blackburn Tai Chi Academy is involved in many events each year, from social outings like our annual Christmas dinner and "Tai Chi in the Park" days, to demonstrations and competitions.
Demonstrations

At the end of each term, we host a social demonstration evening at the Blackburn school. Family, friends and visitors are welcome to attend, and a light supper is provided. If you're considering joining the Academy, these nights are a good introduction to the hand and weapon forms.

In support of our local community, we also perform special public demonstrations, typically for events like school fetes and health & wellbeing exhibition days.
Competitions
Each year, the Academy enters the competition run by the Australian National Wushu & Tai Chi Association Inc. (www.anwta.org.au). Students are encouraged to take part when they are ready, and are able to compete in the round hand form and most of the weapon forms in the "traditional" arena of the competition.
The Academy has been very successful at past competitions - check the Gallery for some competition photos.
